Our Seasonal Espresso

Is from Finca La Fany in El Salvador, owned by Rafael and Carmen De Silva.The farm has been owned and run by the Silva family since the 1870’s.
It delivers an exceptionally well balanced cup, with subtle white wine/champagne acidity, red fruity juicy notes over a chocolate backbone - complex, but very, very clean and a classic iconic El Salvadorian Red Bourbon.

At Kona Blue we realise that the coffee we place in front of you is the culmination of many months of hard work by the farmers, who pick and cultivate the beautiful El Salvadorian Arabica, all the way through to the specialty roaster whose passion and care is displayed in the beans which make up our current seasonal espresso. Our role is the final part of the journey and it’s a process we don’t take lightly.

Quality and provenance is important when it comes to choosing our coffees and we prefer to use seasonal coffees wherever possible, our current espresso and retail beans are all 2011 crops, with two of the coffees organically grown. The beans we use in our espresso are freshly roasted each week, enhancing taste, flavour and aroma and results in a greater number of health improving antioxidants. All of this combined with the skill and care our barista’s take in crafting each drink creates an incredible tasting coffee.
